LEADERSHIP

Lead with Purpose.
Enable What’s Possible.

My job is to enable, encourage, and challenge all the people smarter than me. I provide air cover, remove obstacles, and create the conditions where great teams do their best work.

We rise as a team;
failure is on me
as the leader.

No surprises.
No excuses.
Never be afraid to say “I don’t know.”

THE LEADER’S ROLE

Leadership starts with clarity.

Organizations perform at their best when talented people understand where they are going, know what matters, and have the freedom and support to deliver.

My role is to create that clarity, remove obstacles, provide air cover, and challenge great people to accomplish things they may not have thought possible.

Business is a team sport. My job is to be the head coach.

HOW I LEAD

Enable. Challenge. Protect.

ENABLE

Give talented people the authority, environment, and support to succeed.

CHALLENGE

Ask difficult questions, test assumptions, and help teams see the whole enterprise.

PROTECT

Provide air cover, remove organizational noise, and take accountability upward.

THE LEADERSHIP TRUST CONTRACT

Truth creates the freedom to lead.

Trust works both ways. I give leaders autonomy because I trust them to communicate openly, take accountability, and escalate when they need help. They can tell me the truth because they trust me to act.

NO SURPRISES

Tell me early. Open communication gives us time to help, adjust, and course correct.

NO EXCUSES

Own what happened, understand the root cause, and bring a credible plan forward.

“I DON’T KNOW”

An honest answer is welcome when it is followed by ownership and a timeline to find out.

AIR COVER

Protect the ability to perform.

Providing air cover is not protecting people from accountability. It is shielding their ability to lead from unnecessary politics, conflicting pressure, and organizational noise.

Public ownership falls on me. Private accountability stays within the team. When people take calculated risks based on facts, communicate openly, and act responsibly, I have their back.

Gatekeeping should block top-down pollution—not create a bottleneck.

FROM THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE

Build the room where smart people can do extraordinary things.

Give them freedom. Expect accountability. Protect intelligent risk. Own the pressure. Give away the credit.

Success is not measured by titles or trophies, but by the impact we have on people and the legacy we leave behind.
